The Two Fatalities Identified in the Providence Campus Incident as Authorities Press On With Manhunt for Killer.

Two students who died in the weekend's violent attack in Providence were honored at the start of the week – while an intensive search for their killer carried on following the freeing by local law enforcement of the only individual questioned in the case.

Honoring a Lost Student

The student Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, per the Birmingham's Cathedral Church of the Advent, which honored her memory at a service on Sunday.

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his freshman year at the Ivy League university, family members said.

Umurzokov’s identity was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

Authorities said by the end of Sunday that a man aged 24 arrested in a search at a hotel about approximately 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was being released.
